NATE - says he agrees with McGregor: "The UFC fighters are stupid."
American claims that fighters should better promote their fighting
On Feb. 20, Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor are face to face again at UFC 202, which takes place in Las Vegas. Despite constant provocations between the two before the rematch, the fighters agree on something: the UFC fighters are stupid because they have no notion that the fight is a business, and that athletes must participate in the promotion of such business to get better wages.
- This guy speaks of all these fighters as if they were stupid, and he's right, they are all dumb to fuck - said Nate conference by phone.
Nate has always been one of the fighters who sell more pay-per-view, and in the first fight with Conor McGregor, he won a big jackpot.
- I'm not one of those fighters who sit here and accept agreements. I am complaining about my contract for six years. Went through hell, then I knew he had what he deserved. When it was time to get what's mine, I would receive regardless of anything. And I had a plan for that. Not thanks to Conor I won it all, but I can say it was a shortcut.
Nate says that things began to change when he accepted a fight against Michael Johnson in 2015, and won the American, who was the favorite. Soon after, he challenged McGregor in a television network, and eventually replaced Jose Aldo a few days of duel.
- If I were dumb, I would not have gotten where I am. I did what I had to do. I took the fight with Michael Johnson, overcome and resolved my problems. So I went back and took this fight 10 days in advance and even then I decided everything. I asked for the fight, I said I wanted, and I got it.
